EPAC Needs a Financial Reviewer

EPAC is looking for a volunteer “financial reviewer” to render an opinion on its financial statements for 2015. The reviewer needs to hold the CA certification. The works is to be done in early to mid April and usually requires about eight hours. Please step forward! Scroll down for more details.

Volunteer Opportunity for Chartered Accountants

Job Title: Financial Reviewer

The Ethics Practitioners’ Association of Canada is seeking a Financial Reviewer of its 2015 annual financial statements. Based on recent years’ experience, it requires approximately 8 hours to complete the review. The review is to be completed between April 1 and April 15 in 2016.

Reports To:

Board Chair: Robert Czerny

 Audit Committee

General Responsibilities:

Review financial statements and submit to the audit committee

 Be prepared to answer any pertinent questions from the audit committee

 Provide limited assurance that financial information conforms to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

 Acquire knowledge about EPAC sufficient to make enquiries and informed assessment

Outcomes:

Provide assurance that EPAC is providing financial information in accordance with IFRS

 Provide this assurance with appropriate disclosure and explanation of this assurance

Qualifications:

Must be a Chartered Accountant in good standing

 Have at least 1 year of experience working in an accounting practice

 Must possess strong attention to detail

 Must be self-motivated and reliable

 Ability to meet deadlines

 Must be available to complete the review on your own time without supervision
