Anti-Corruption Symposium on May 9, 2015
The inaugural Anti-Corruption Symposium is an initiative of Canadians for Accountability, which is devoted to helping whistleblowers fight abusive and corrupt management. Morning discussions and afternoon “whistleblower award.”
Does corruption destroy freedom? We look at our country and are thankful for the freedom of being a Canadian. Our fathers or ancestors fought during the World Wars and other conflicts to preserve this freedom. But are these freedoms being eroded? Has complacency set in and allowed the growth of corruption in our society? Perhaps our freedoms and rights have been eroded. If so, have we even noticed? Are we now enablers of corruption instead of defenders of democracy?
